A New Look for Rangerink.com

 
If you haven't visited Rangerink.com in a while, you might be surprised by the new look we've created!

Pretty nice, right?  We hope that you will find our new website to be sleeker and easier to navigate than the previous version.

There's just one itty bitty problem...

Because our blog is now integrated into the site, the new blog address is rangerink.com/blog instead of blog.rangerink.com.  Unfortunately, this means that if you have bookmarked any of our previous blog posts, those bookmarks will continue to take you to the old blog, which won't be around much longer. 

If you would like to update your bookmarks, just copy the title of the bookmarked blog post into the search box at the top of the screen on the new blog site and re-bookmark it, and then delete the original.  After that, you should be good to go!

Thanks for bearing with us during this transition.  It will be worth it in the end, we promise!

Announcing Spring Seasonal Distress Inks! (And a Surprise....)

 
Now that the flowers are blooming outside, it's a perfect time for your creativity to bloom as well!  And what better way is there than with the brand-new Tim Holtz Spring Seasonal Series Distress Inks?!

Let's take a closer look at these beautiful, spring-inspired hues.

Peacock Feathers is a lovely, true teal shade, which Distress fans have wanted for quite some time!  Squeezed Lemonade is a light, bright, lemon chiffon color completely unlike the existing yellows in the Distress palette.  Shaded Lilac is a beautiful purple color, ideal for all of your spring projects.

Our friends at Paper Crafter's Library have a special treat in store for all fans of Ranger, Tim Holtz and Distress Stains: this week is "Ranger Week" on their blog,  and all week they will be showcasing Distress Stain tips, techniques, projects and videos!

Check out the newest project on the Ranger website: a pretty cupcake canvas by Claudine Hellmuth, using her Claudine Hellmuth Studio Paints, Gesso and Multi-Medium.  Craft a canvas for your home as Claudine did, or apply the techniques to make a cute birthday card for a loved one!

Earlier this week, we asked you for some suggestions as to what Ranger's Sales Director and Stickles Enthusiast Alain Avrillon should "Stickle" next as part of his Extreme Stickling video series.  You guys have some wild ideas!  The responses were very fun to read.

Extreme Stickling: The Gnome

 

Welcome to the third installment of Extreme Stickling!

In this episode, Ranger Sales Director and Stickles Enthusiast Alain Avrillon decides to give a garden gnome a bit of bling in honor of springtime!

Ranger's Easter Egg Designer's Challenge! Day 4

 
This week, we are presenting the results from Ranger's Easter themed Designer's Challenge: we gave craft eggs to some of our favorite designers and crafty employees, and asked them to decorate the eggs for Easter using Ranger products.

Tim Holtz:

• Tim Holtz idea-ology Sprocket Gears

Tim's steampunk egg began as a paper mache egg, which was covered in pieces of Metal Foil Tape.  Texture and holes were added, and then the metal was inked with Alcohol Inks using Cut n' Dry Foam.  Finally Tim burnished off the inks to create an industrial look, and the idea-ology gears were added as a finishing touch.

Ranger's Sales Director and Extreme "Stickler" Alain Avrillon dipped a styrofoam egg in Waterfall Stickles, and then used Multi-Medium to glue on a bunny made from UTEE and Heat It Inks.  (There is a video on the Ranger website that shows how this adorable bunny was made.)

And for those of you who can't get enough of Alain's Extreme Stickling antics, we will be presenting a brand-new installment of the series on Monday, so watch this space!
