Project: Ice Stickles/Memory Frames Ornament

Here is a quick and easy project created by Ranger Artist/Photographer Debbie Tlach using Ice Stickles, Inkssentials Memory Frames and Frosted Memory Glass. This would be a fun activity for the whole family to make together to give as gifts or use to decorate your tree.

Here's how it's done:  Cut two 2 x 2 pieces of colored cardstock and set aside.  This will be your background.  Next, stamp an image on the frosted side of the 2 x 2 Frosted Memory Glass with Adirondack Pitch Black Pigment Ink.  Let Dry.  (Debbie used Paper Artsy's Partridge from Egg Nog #5 set.)  Then decorate the glass (still on the frosted side) with dots, stripes or color the entire piece of glass with Ice Stickles.  Let dry.  Insert the glass and 2 x 2 cardstock into a 2 x 2 Memory Frame, add a ribbon on top, and that's all there is to it.

The large glitter crystals you find in Ice Stickles really make the background of these ornaments sparkle and glisten.  So festive!

Do you make our own Christmas ornaments?  Always love to hear new ideas.

This looks so cool! TFS! I don't make my own ornaments, I already have too much for the tree :) But sometimes I make some table ornaments to use once. Thinking about the alcohol ink ornaments this year, with glitter inside or... or...

These are adorable and seem to be quite simple.

Gorgeous! I love all the sparkle, such a great idea. The only ornaments I've made for the tree where ones using Scherenschnitte, the German paper cutting technique. I made them quite a few years ago. They took so much time, that we put them away carefully and still use them every year. Hmm, maybe I'll add Stickles to them this year!

Too cute. Just adore these. Another excuse to use stickle.. I love stickles! I can't get enough of it. :D

I do make my own ornaments but usually as gifts for others. This year I didn't use any Ranger products, sad to say, but did make some cute Scrabble tile ornaments.

I love having my son make ornaments---usually with hand prints!!!!

These are really neat and not real time consuming. Thanks for sharing!!!
