Ranger U Applications Due Monday!
Good afternoon, crafters! This is a friendly reminder that applications for the first session of Ranger U for 2011 (April 29 - May 1) are due this Monday, March 21! If you are interested in spending three amazing days learning directly from our signature designers while rubbing elbows with your fellow craft enthusiasts, be sure to visit the Ranger U page on our website for all of the details and to download the application (MS Word format).
Did you know that you do not have to be a store owner to attend Ranger U? We are looking for students from a wide range of backgrounds including: teachers, demonstrators, published designers, active bloggers and craft product manufacturers, in addition to store owners!
Are you intending to apply to one of the 2011 Ranger U sessions? Let us know in the comments!

I'm planning on applying, Carolyn from Pickwell Farm Shop, Southampton, UK. I've been a bit nervous about applying but this post has encouraged me to send in the application.(Tim, I was on your last cruise and will be joining you again this year!)

I am planning on applying, but not for the April class. I am an educator, artist, owner of 2 businesses (art and entrepreneurship education) and a blogger and I also mentor businesses of all kinds around the world and teach business ownership, so I have a unique set of qualifications.

Ranger U? LOL,I wish :) Not a store owner here, nor manufacturer, nor any of the others you're looking for. Maybe "active blogger" would be me. Anyways, it has to stay a dream because of the age-old reasons: time and money. But I'm happy and that's what counts, right?
I'm sure there will be lots of stories and pictures of Ranger U on blogs and twitter to enjoy!

This would be a dream...unfortunately, reality means this isn't something I can consider.
Never mind - those who do get there, have a great time.

This would be such a dream come true, but unfortunately time and money don't allow this to be true for me now. I will keep watching and maybe one day this would be possible for me! Congrats to those who get to go...enjoy! And please share. I will have to live vicariously through you for now!

It's been a New Year's goal every year to attend. I have time in October and if all goes well I might try to apply for that RU. I meet four/five (iffy) of the six listed! Wouldn't be neat to actually get to go?

I would SO LOVE to go to Ranger U! I think it would be a tremendous experience as a crafter to learn right from the wonderful teachers who have come up with these amazing techniques!! Ranger offers so many awesome products with so many different possibilities it would just be a dream come true to work with the wonderful people associated with Ranger and learn, learn, learn!!!

I am delighted!!!! to read that it is not only store owners or demonstrators at stores that are accepted so I'm now giving energy to the dream that I could attend. I'm an Expressive Arts therapist and I use all types of techniques I have learned through the Ranger site, Tim's videos, perusing the internet and YouTube etc. in the activities I do with my clients. I work with pregnant women and mothers who are struggling with substance addictions and they literally come back to life when given opportunities to learn scrapbooking, create cards, journals, mini albums and all manner of papercraft! I will be applying now for the fall session and trust if it is meant to be, it will be. I'll have my blog up and going by then also, as well as broadening my community workshops as an independent contractor with other treatment programs.

I am really looking forward to apply, have started preparing from last year. I am a demonstrator, a teacher at my local scrapbook store and a online store & kit club owner. I regularly conduct spring and summer camps for all age groups but dont know if I stand a chance.

I have none of the requirements, but I do teach anyone who is interested and am a paper crafter/painter/rubber stamper - etc. I love learning new techniques and would enjoy more learning how you teach them. I try to attend a weekend/3 day class yearly of different venues and always enjoy the comraderie and especially the new art I have created. I think I'd be a good attendee.

For all of you that "get in" I wish you a truly fantastic time!!

I'm hoping to apply to attend the October session as a birthday present to me. I am a regular teacher, every Monday, at Your Maine Stamper, have my own artist's blog and I blog for the store, and I'm on the design team for Memory Box. I use Ranger products extensively in my own work and in my classes. It would be so much fun to be part of Ranger U. I've taken a class before from Ranger folks at an event in MA a couple of years ago. I know the competition to get in is stiff, so we'll see. Anne, yourmainestamper

I honestly wish I could attend. I have always been so envious of those that are able to attend. My heart always beats a little more rapid when I see things such as this...
It would be an honor to rub elbows with other enthusiasts that enjoy creating and to learn from signature designers. I look forward to seeing pictures and hearing the stories.
Someday...
